The Jewelry Stand, formerly on Front Street in historic Lahaina Town, has been creating unique island style jewelry for nearly 20 years. We use local black coral ecologically harvested from the waters around Maui, along with top quality semi-precious stones, pearls, shells, drusy and more. Hawaii’s state gem, black coral, has remained a featured staple through the years in thousands of designs.

Kat Stout - Designer / Owner

“Kat” was born with the jewelry gene. She grew up in Michigan, the baby sister to many brothers, making, designing, and selling jewelry from a young age. She developed a love for world travel, studied abroad, landed on Maui in the late 90′s and founded The Jewelry Stand shortly after. She resides on Maui with her husband, daughter, and three legged black lab, Rocky, living the dream.

Kathleen takes her jewelry with her whereever she travels. She’s been featured at many trunk shows throughout the U.S. mainland, and in other countries. Kat has sold her jewelry straight off of her neck to passers by and even in mid flight when traveling. She is smart and creative, ambitious and brave. You can often find her at The Jewelry Stand saying with a smile, “I make jewelry in paradise for a living” when asked how’s she’s doing.

The Jewelry Stand Maui was formerly at The Old Poi Factory in the 800 block of Front Street for almost 20 years prior to the devastating Lahaina fires. The owner/designer Kathleen Stout had been making jewelry at the same location since 1998. Kathleen’s new designs and creative style were an immediate success. She works hard to maintain a beautiful, quality, handmade on Maui product that return customers have grown to love.
